Early on, a limitation was pointed out that her skill structure prevents her from receiving ammo-charge buffs (Gonyo), but the later controversy over pickup rates and limited-character status was resolved as unfounded. Her damage is rated high enough to clear the Wind element Missilis Tower (Eppenbaum). Per prydwen.gg (updated 2026-07-30) she is evenly rated at SS class across Story, Bossing and PvP.

A PvP instant-burst team that a Korean NIKKE YouTuber (Sperando) introduced repeatedly across several videos right after the new units Laplace: Ultimate Hero and Maxwell: Ordinary Mechanic released on 23 July 2026. The shape is presumed to be Laplace putting out instant burst damage while Maxwell's max-HP buff shores up survivability. As this comes from a single Korean YouTube channel, the detailed skill-level and Overload setup needs further checking (as of 2026-07-31).

That said, YouTubers disagree on Maxwell's actual contribution (some point out that her cover-restore buff conflicts with the Naga + Tia pairing), so it is too early to call her a mandatory pick. Replacing Maxwell with the Isabel + Arcana pair is also raised as an alternative (source: Sperando).
